Beauty and the Beast

Opening night was last night and here's lots of pictures but you won't see Hannah in any of them--she had the puking plague all day yesterday and had to miss the show. She was crushed and cried lots of tears but there was nothing that could be done. If she had a fever I would have dosed her with motrin and let her go but the puking plague doesn't travel well. All parts are double cast but her double cast was Jonathan who needed to do lights for last night's show. So, Jonathan's sister (and one of Hannah's best friends), Madi played her part. Madi was Cogsworth when we did B & B a couple of years ago and she reviewed the part all day and was excellent on stage! She didn't mess up at all and was perfect. Hannah was so sad to miss but happy that Madi got to play the part. Grace is only in the pictures above and below because she was in the back a lot. I'm glad we got these two pictures though. You can see her above right behind the baker and below she is doing her bookseller part. She was so good--so grown up and poised.

Gaston was one of my favorite characters--he was hilarious!!
Joe played Chip and he did great--so cute! Below is Lumiere and Madi playing Hannah's part as Cogsworth.
