Outside my window...a bright, sunshiny, cool morning.
I am thinking...about what all I need to do before leaving town on Wednesday and wondering if I'm crazy to try to fit in two days of school as well.
From the learning rooms...my plan (written in pencil) is to finish up our week of Exploring Countries and Cultures that we didn't finish last week. Mostly just reading aloud and some Mexican Yarn art. Of course we'll try to fit in the basics as well--at least Math.
I am thankful...for all the time we are getting with our friends that are moving soon.
From the kitchen...Ollie's in charge of dinner tonight and we are working on cleaning out the fridge before leaving town.
I am wearing...Christmas pj pants and my favorite sweatshirt with a thermal shirt underneath (and I'm still a little cold).
I am reading...still trying to finish Inflammation Nation. I did finish my Reader's Digests this week. On my bedside table--Mrs. Pollifax, a Maeve Binchy book, a Louisa May Alcott book, a homeschooling book, a book by Ruth Bell Graham about Christmas in the Graham home. Hoping to make a dent in this stack while on vacation this week. At least a one book dent.
I am hoping...for safe travel and relief from the pain in my knees.
I am creating...gift bags for Christmas gifts.
I am hearing...Martha Speaks on PBS kids--my kids love this show.
Around the house...it's somewhat presentable, thank goodness!
One of my favorite things...cute pictures of my kids.
A few plans for the rest of the week...a little bit of school, Ladies night at church, work on Christmas cards, go to AL for a big Thanksgiving dinner and a birthday celebration for my 95 year old Aunt Clara.
Here is a picture thought I'm sharing...
This is my old fashioned paper boy country boy who is so not a country boy but absolutely loves this shirt.

You're children are beautiful. Your reading list sounds interesting. My husband likes Mrs. Pollifax and I keep meaning to read those books. Have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving. I hope your knee gets better.
We are also using ECC this year. We have put it aside for the holidays. I wanted to cover Thanksgiving and Christmas in detail. My children are watching Martha Speaks as well..LOL. Have a great day.
I love your picture! We do MFW, too, but we are doing Adventures rightnow. :-) Have a wonderful week!
Hope you have a wonderful week.
Wow you're #3!
I enjoyed your daybook. Have a safe trip and hope the pain in your knees subsides :)

What a blessing to have an older aunt to celebrate with during Thanksgiving time!

Funny thing - I can see your Inflammation Nation book in the background of your picture thought. I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving and a safe trip.

That is one cute boy!
For the snowman jar I used acrylic paints from my local craft store. Hope this helps.
What a cute picture. I enjoyed your blog. I need to be cleaning my fridge out while my husband is buying groceries. I plan to cook tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Doylene
