I made it to the doctor today. I saw a new doctor and I liked him, he is not a general practicioner but an internist. He looked at my joints, pressed around here and there and ordered bloodwork. He's fairly sure I have some sort of arthritis. Apparently there are lots of different types of arthritis and the blood work will help decipher what I might have. The most likely type is psoriatic arthritis. I've had psoriasis for about 10-15 years and 25% of people with psoriasis develop psoriatic arthritis. I go Friday for bloodwork and then go back February 9 for the results. Hopefully they will definitively point to an answer. We'll see. I am glad to be on my way to some answers, even if I don't like the answers. We talked about the fact that I take Ibuprofen daily and have been for almost a year. He said that there are certainly worse things and in all likelihood I won't have any other issues resulting from it. I am going to try to limit how much I take though and continue with all the supplements I'm taking. I do think they are helping.
After spending a good portion of the day out of the house I came home determined to continue with my plan for the big indian meal. I got most of it cooked and the rest prepped and then tutored for an hour. It wasn't the best tutoring session because my pupil was terribly distracted by the soccer game going on across the street. I finally shut the blinds after reprimanding him a number of times. I survived it and I think he learned something and then I turned my attention back to dinner. I got it finished and we ate it and it was wonderful!!! Ollie cleaned it up while I read to the kids. We are madly trying to finish an autobiography of Rachel Saint before returning the book to the Smith's next week. I think we are on track to finish it. We are also reading "The Moffats," a fiction book that we are all enjoying. I read two chapters of Rachel and then 1 of "The Moffats" and then got the kids in the bed. I've had a shower and I think I'm going to crash and it's only about 9pm. Tomorrow will be equally busy...I think I'll be having some coffee in the morning and again in the afternoon.

glad to hear you are getting some answers!
What a great idea to do your reading after dinner. That might help us wind down a little better.
Glad you are finally getting some answers. Hope they help you find some relief.
hey, could you also try to get your hands on my Cameron Townsend that I am sure OBM still has? I think Shelly has a couple that I need to bother her for too. I'm a little crazy about my books!
Glad you getting some answers... I need to get with the program of my health too...
