Random, random, with pictures

I struggle so much with blogging lately that I've considered just quitting.  I hate that thought because I love to go back and look at old posts and I enjoy sharing my life with family far away here on the blog but I feel like it's gotten really dull.  I should have plenty to say but when I sit down to blog my thoughts turn into lists of what I've done and what I need to do with the occasional picture narration (again--showing what we have done).  I think reading lists of what people are doing gets boring and I don't like to think my blog is boring.  Maybe I'll just take a break...we'll see...for now, though.  Lots of pictures of what we've been doing.  :0)  We went to an art museum in Orlando the other day and they had a kids' area where you could use props to take silly pictures.  I love these, like really love these, like I might frame a few.  There are more at the bottom of this post.  It takes too long to get the pictures all in the right order so I don't bother.

Lots of pictures in this post are from Senior Tour this year.  Senior Tour is a group of kids out of the theatre group that write a show and then go and perform it at local elementary schools.  This year's theme was Anti-Bullying.  They had some great parodys and skits and monologues and the show was well received everywhere we went.  We spent three days going to schools and went to two schools a day.  I got to chaperone and had fun taking silly pictures as well as some real ones.

We saw our last Rep show of the year, Freckle-Faced Strawberry.  It was a good one and we all enjoyed it.  The next few pictures below are from a night hike that we went on a few weeks ago with a group from our county.  We were out to look for bats and fireflies and didn't see much of either but really enjoyed the hike.

Grace went with her friend Anabel to a Pat Benatar concert...enough said.

I keep these boys every Monday during the theatre season and our last Monday together we went to a friend's beach and I sat and watched while these boys played and played and played!

Here are some of the selfies I took with the kids so they could post them on Mother's Day.  Fun times with my teens and tween.

Above--love this verse....I want to live by it and grow strong in my faith.  Over the last couple of years I have struggled a lot with the "cares of this world" and not spent the time that I need and want with God.  Really working on abiding and growing those roots!
A couple more Peter Pan pics!

Hannah spent last weekend with the S family at the homeschool convention and then I met her there on Sunday for graduation.  It was an awesome graduation and got us both really excited to know that she can participate in the same ceremony in just a few years!  I have more pictures to share from that once I get them off of my phone.
Joe and I went to Jake's school for a book fair and thoroughly enjoyed all of the displays and then later shopping at the Scholastic Book Fair.  I LOVED the book fair as a kid and it was fun to get to take Joe to one.

See that redhead?  We know her--that's one of Grace's BFFs.  Had to buy this when we saw it at the book fair!
