Halloween

Grace dressed up as an Arabian Princess complete with a fancy hairdo.

Hannah is the Chiquita Banana girl or Carmen Miranda, take your pick. I loved, loved, loved her costume this year--so fun! My girls are growing up too fast but I think they get more beautiful every day! Joe dressed up as a parrot--parrot hat and fun matching tie dye shirt--but wouldn't pose for pics. Oh well!

I've seen Landon in about 4 costumes this month but he came trick or treating at our house wearing his lion costume. Unfortunately, it was a little hot so he felt more comfortable half unzipped.
We did our traditional trick or treating hayride and party. Here's the big group shot above and boy and girl shots below. There are a lot of kids in our "little" group! I love seeing all of the costumes every year.

Having some pizza before hitting the road for some trick or treating fun.

After trick or treating the kids all sit and do a big candy swap. I tried to get in on this and get some Twix bars but I didn't have anything to trade.

Trick or Treat!

We had some unusual trick-or-treaters early in the day--more dogs from the Warren family. They have 6! Two were at the pumpkin patch and three got to come trick-or-treating.

Here's Grace with Henson. You can't see Henson's costume very well but he is dressed as an elf.
This is Oliver in drag. He was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood--so funny! Too bad you couldn't see him in person. The picture just doesn't do it justice. Hula the mermaid (who you saw in the pumpkin patch pictures) also came. All the dogs got some doggie treats. Later we had another neighborhood dog, Mason, send the kids some candy through his owner, Mark. He was going to deliver it himself but on his way he saw the Warren's three dogs and decided to just send his treats on with Mark. Our neighbors know how much our kids love dogs!

Some of the girls before heading out.

Joe was being stubborn about stopping for a picture. He was much too busy running around sword fighting with all the little boys. You can see how joyfully he is complying with his mommy's wishes. Is he an angel or what?
Hotdogs and chili on the lawn before the big event.

The kids made the rounds of the neighborhood by hay ride. It was a wild group!
Hannah and Grace traded with their friends before heading home and then did some more trading once they got home. Hannah is not a chocolate fan so she traded most of her chocolate for Nerds and lollipops.

I managed to make it through the night with out a single bite of chocolate! I did sample Debi's popcorn balls so it wasn't a completely sugar free night. I knew if I started in on the chocolate though it would be all over.
