Europe 2016...Dublin, Ireland

Dublin, Ireland had a unique way of welcoming us as we disembarked the ship.  Above, two Irish Wolfhounds and below a guy on stilts with his face painted blue.  I don't know much about Ireland so I don't understand the significance of the blue face paint.  Also, not pictured was a tent with about 4 guys Irish dancing.  Speaking of Irish dancing...that is what our excursion in Dublin consisted of...an Irish dancing master class!

Before we got to the pub where our class was held, we went on a tour of the city.  Our guide was really good and we learned a lot about Dublin.  Our class was being held at a pub called, "O'Flaherty's."  We were taught by a professional Irish dancer and he was really good!  We had a blast and really learned a lot.  I wish I could get the videos uploaded but I think I will have to put them on Youtube first.  For now, there are just pictures.  H and B enjoyed their Irish Coffee and watched the shenanigans!  I can't say for sure if Joe really enjoyed this class because he had to dance with a girl he didn't know but the rest of us LOVED it!

After our class, our instructor and his assistant danced for us and they were amazing! We saw a few more sights as we headed back to the ship, I have some pictures of an old church at the end of this post.  We had an early all aboard time and the town was a 30 minute shuttle away from the ship so we opted not to see any of Dublin on our own.  Our dance class was the perfect way to introduce us to Ireland though!
