Latest Happenings Around These Parts
The kids were in another show...always another show...we are already on to the next one as they all anxiously await parts that might be posted tonight but will probably be posted tomorrow night...more news on that later once we have it. For now, enjoy these pictures from the show a couple of weekends ago, "Dear Edwina, Jr." Hannah played a maniacal girl scout and also got to play the Fairy Forkmother for two shows that we performed for local elementary schools. Grace was in a 50s style quartet and played Edwina's little sister, Katie for the school performances. Joe played Cordell, one of the stage managers and also was the role of Harry in the song, "Hola Lola," and had to reprise his performance of Frank in Frankenguest for the school performances. It was a really fun weekend and a great show!
After two shows in the morning and pizza for lunch, we had a couple of hours before we needed to be back at the theatre so we had some peeps over...games were played and naps were taken. :0)
Maddie dressed up as me for the costume contest Friday night and I dressed up as me too. We were pretty cute.
The badges on the girl scout vest were leftovers from our days with Keepers at Home and Joe's badge from the fitness test in homeschool PE. They had to replace the badges that came with the "sexy girl scout" costume Ms. Amanda found which was apparently the only girl scout costume to be found online.
Above and below are some of my favorite things...I did a photo challenge on Instagram and the collage above is one I made for that. And, below...some new shoes that I am in love with.
In the above picture, Grace is doing a collaboration on virtual school...a special Halloween collaboration where students were encouraged to wear a costume (even though they couldn't see each other) and they read and discussed some scary stories. Big fun in homeschool land!
For Halloween we trick-or-treated with some friends. You can tell that Grace went as an Incredible girl. In case you can't tell, Hannah is hipster Tinkerbell and Joe is Michael from Peter Pan. We had a great night.
This past weekend, we had my niece, Ellie here for a couple of days. After picking her up we went to Shake Shack, a place I had heard of and had burgers and fries and then did some shopping at the only Trader Joe's in Central Florida. Hannah's friend, not boyfriend, Devin joined us.
The highlight of the day....Hannah got her nose pierced!
