A New Chore System

 We've started a new chore system around here.  We're into our second week and so far so good.  Each of the kids and myself are assigned a zone each week and with that zone comes a 2 sided envelope.  On one side is "Chores to Do," and on the other side is "Chores Completed."  There is an index card for each chore and as they complete a chore they move the card from one side to the other.  We are given our zones on Monday morning and have all week to complete the chores.  Last week and this week we've all waited until Friday to do our chores but they get done and that's all that matters. The deal is that you can't do anything fun on the weekend until your chores for the week are completed.  Hopefully this will work long term for us.  We'll see...
