Cruise Pics Part 2--Around the Ship

 There is lots and lots and lots to do around the ship so we were happy to have three days at sea on this cruise.  Above is the famous Aqua Duck...a water coaster that goes out over the ocean.  It was lots of fun.

 There is a mini golf course up on one of the top decks.  It was very creatively done and we had fun playing.

 Ollie, the kids, and I took an animation class and learned to draw Goofy in addition to learning a little about cartoon physics.  On another day, Hannah and I took another class and learned to draw the Genie from Aladdin.  We all got some good laughs out of Grace's drawing, she cracked herself up.

 Above is a pic of Grace starting out a Midship Detective game.  This was really fun, you walk all over the ship with your "badge" and hold it up to various pictures on the ship to collect clues to solve one of three mysteries.  This was a huge hit and I think Grace and Joe each did all three and Hannah did one or two.  The adults each did at least one I think.  The cruise director jokingly called it the Disney Fantasy adult fitness program because you had to walk all over the ship to collect clues.  The picture below is from The Tube...this was an adult club by night but had various things going on throughout the week.  Here, some of us were listening to a funny performer who combined comedy with music.

 Characters are all over the ship but the lines are usually pretty long.  We happened upon Belle in the hall though and no lines so snapped a pic.  Grace was much more into getting her picture taken with the characters so this was the only pic I got of Hannah with a character and later I got one of Joe too.  Below is something you often see on a cruise--a towel animal.  We also got chocolates every night.  Yum.

 There were big portholes with padded benches all over the ship too.  Just perfect for a little rest.  And, below, an interactive painting.  Joe is steering the ship in the painting.

 There are two theatres on the ship, one that shows movies.  We saw "Wreck-It Ralph," "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," "Brave," "The Avengers," and Ollie and I saw, "Lincoln."  There is also another bigger theatre where they had Broadway style shows almost every night.

 On Deck 4 you can walk all the way around the ship, 2.5 laps makes one mile.  You can also play shuffleboard or sit on a comfy chair and read a book.
