Owl lapbook

Ever since seeing an owl lapbook on a friend's blog I have been wanting to do one.  I have spent way too much time thinking about it and trying to get motivated to do it.  The motivation just wasn't there and I was tired of thinking about it so I suggested to the girls that we just "let it go."  Surprisingly, they pleaded with me to do this with them so I couldn't just "let it go."  Well, Thursday afternoon while the kids were in theatre I got an iced coffee from McD's.  That's all it took.  I came home with 30 minutes to spare before picking them up and sat down and planned and prepared their lapbooks.  Just like that.  So, from now on when thoughts of a lapbook are spinning around in my head but I just can't get it together to do it I will make a trip to McD's and then go for it.  This afternoon we put them together and they are almost complete.  We just need to add pictures of our pellet dissection and a little info about what owl pellets are.  It was a really simple one to do but really cemented all that info in their little brains.

Nothing like a little coffee to stoke your motivation! I hit Starbucks for a Venti and off I go...:)

I think the lapbooks are great. They will love those when they are older.
