This is Hannah's Africa project. She used a bowl covered in plastic wrap as a form and covered in fabric dipped in glue. When it drives she should have a basket. We'll see if it turns out.
It's 1:15 pm and the kids are schooled, the house is picked up, we've all had lunch and now everyone is playing computer games and I'm relaxing for a bit before I tutor at 1:30. Not bad. Why can't every day be this way? I'll tell you why. Because I am undisciplined! Working on that one. Since we got such an early start and I wasn't overwhelmed and grumpy I even worked with Grace on making pancakes. She's been begging to learn but I never feel up to teaching her in the morning. Pancakes for lunch worked out perfectly. I may let her do it everyday until she gets tired of it. We have lots of fun ideas for toppings since once this bottle of syrup is gone there will be no more for a while. Hannah also got her Africa project done. It was a basket made out of glue and fabric. Of course I took pictures. I had to use Ollie's little video camera to take pictures since one of my camera's got dropped in the lake and the other is acting up. So, the pics aren't great quality but you get the idea.

good for you! I have concluded that the good days are a blessing and the bad days are part of the fall & this sinful world! It's a futile battle. Just be thankful for both and you'll have a happy heart no matter what!

I need to remember that for myself...
Abby learned to make pancakes from Grammy while I was in the hospital with RG. She made them every day for few weeks and she really perfected it and needs no help at all. She loves that she can get up and make everyone breakfast by herself. There have been a few nights when Scott is away and I declare it pancake night and she gets to make dinner :)

Anyway, good for you and I don't think the picture quality is bad. Look at all the day you have left now!
Well done on your disciplined day! Mad has just learned to make pancakes too. We almost always have Sunbutter (or peanut butter) and jam on ours. I gave up buying maple syrup - the good stuff is so expensive and I don't want to touch the other stuff.

That basket is cool, that is the same way we made the woven Guatemala baskets (upside down bowl with plastic wrap) then you dip strips of yarn in glue and water, once the yearn part dries you can weave fabric or felt pieces into it.
