Kids and TV

My children have watched sooooo much tv this week.  Mostly because Grace is sick and we let them watch tv when they aren't feeling very good.  Of course, if one child watches so does everybody else.   So, they have watched tv almost everyday since Wednesday.  So now, they do not know what to do with themselves.  When the tv goes off no one can seem to get into anything.  They just sit around wrestling with each other or wandering aimlessly.  It's like they forget how to play when they haven't had much playtime.  With that said, I think I am going to try to keep the tv off for the next few weeks at least during the day.  Of course we cannot miss American Idol!  We'll see how it goes.  I may have to make concessions for Joe and Star Wars.  Watching Star Wars is not so much of a sedentary thing for Joe.  He gets his light saber and sometimes his "guys" and acts out the story.  It's pretty cute.
